Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture (MEIYSAC), Namibia Directorate of Education, Arts and Culture- Oshana RegionSince its 2017 pilot in Oshana Region, Jolly Phonics has significantly improved reading and writing outcomes among learners across Namibia. Following successful pilots in most regions in 2018, the Oshana Region led a national rollout to all 14 regions in February 2022, making Jolly Phonics standard in all public Grade 1 classes. Since then, the Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture, Innovation, Youth, Sports and Culture (MEIYSAC) has worked with Jolly Futures to ensure sustainability. In 2024, Jolly Grammar 1 was introduced in Grade 2, followed by Jolly Grammar 2 in Grade 3 in 2025. Jolly Learning Limited gave MEIYSAC a licence to reprint Jolly Phonics materials, and and MEIYSAC invested in purchasing Jolly Grammar resources. A national training-of-trainers programme launched in 2023 has expanded the trainer team from 3 to 28 by 2025.

Oshana Region has rolled out Jolly Phonics to all schools in 2018, and pilots have been conducted in 10 further regions. In 2022 Jolly Phonics was rolled out to all 14 regions of Namibia. It is now being used in every public school Grade 1 class in the country!
